Tasting Notes: Soft pink in color, Vetere has a delicious bouquet of fragrant, small, red fruits, notes of dog rose and violet, and hints of Mediterranean scrub. It is soft drinking, persuasive, fresh and fine. The final finish is captivating and satisfying with hints of berries and citrus fruits.
Estate History: Founded in 1988 by Giuseppe Pagano, San Salvatore is located within the heart of the Cilento National Park in Campania. The winery was established as a tribute to Pagano’s father and is deeply committed to preserving the natural beauty of the region through organic and biodynamic farming. Beyond their ancient vineyards and olive groves, the estate is unique for its herd of over 450 water buffalo, which provide natural fertilizer for the soil and produce the milk for their artisanal mozzarella. This holistic approach ensures that every bottle is a sustainable expression of the local terroir.
